You need JavaScript enabled to view it Casting director Marci Liroff has a passion for teaching as well as casting. From "Blade Runner" and “ET” to "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday;" from “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “Footloose” to “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," Marci Liroff has long been one of the busiest casting directors in Hollywood. Having worked for over 30 years with the industry's top producers, directors and actors, her extensive knowledge of the casting process is invaluable for anyone looking to make the most of their audition opportunities. Join her for a three-week intensive course (each Tuesday night) to learn how to “nail it.“ This is a hone-and-tone course, not a fundamental skills class. It is aimed at working professionals and not suited for those with limited audition experience. The course is designed to provide a clear perspective on the business of acting. Marci will explore audition techniques, audition etiquette, online opportunities, and provide you with the valuable do’s and don’ts of auditioning from the points of view of directors, producers, studio executives and casting directors. Each week, Marci will dissect one audition scene and take each participant through the process -- from cold reading through callback to final callback. In addition to Marci sharing her personal insights, she will also have top industry guest speakers participate in classes two and three. Director/Producer Mark Waters (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Spiderwick Chronicles, Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, 500 Days of Summer) will be a guest speaker at my Audition Bootcamp. We'll be doing Q & A, and he will direct you in a scene. Because the highly interactive format will stress support and feedback, the course is limited to only a small number of participants – so make your reservations early. Make a commitment to yourself and take advantage of a rare opportunity to sharpen your audition skills under the guidance of one of the most respected and successful casting directors in Hollywood. Three Tuesday nights in June (16th, 23rd, 30th), 2009 from 7:30p.m. – 9:30p.m. Act Now! 14140 Ventura Blvd. Suite 203 Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 *Liroff is not associated with Act Now – just renting space! |
